FORTNUM & MASON DARK CHOCOLATE MACADEMIA NUT BISCUITS

These were a present. I don't shop at Fortnum & Mason. I'd been really disappointed by expensive biscuits in the past so was quite apprehensive about these. I'd also waited until the cold thing I've had went so I could taste these properly.

The biscuits come in a really pretty tall tin and then are in two packets inside. The biscuits themselves are tiny which made me even more concerned these could disappoint, but they were excellent. Very cocoa taste, strong but not overpowering, and whilst there wasn't a significant nut taste within these biscuits, they had a crunch that went really well with the soft cocoa nature of the biscuit, strong enough to not fall apart, but soft enough to not be too hard.  They were really quite delicious and the packet of nine didn't last very long (I did let Mel have one).

I probably wouldn't go out and buy these (they're £14.95 for the tin on Fortnum & Mason's website), but would gratefully accept them as a present.

DAVE'S SCORE : 8.5/10 for the biscuit, 3/10 value for money.
